How StatsDrone Protects Your Data, Credentials, and Privacy

Written by Waleska

We understand that sharing login credentials for your affiliate programs is a significant decision and can understandably cause concern. Many of our users worry about security, especially regarding their earnings and account access. In this article, we explain how we handle your information and the measures we take to keep it safe.

The difference between using credentials and an API

An API is the most secure and trustworthy method of connection; that is why we recommend using it whenever possible. API connections are more reliable and avoid issues such as password expiration, 2FA prompts, or CAPTCHA challenges.

Regardless of its advantages, some affiliate programs do not offer API access, so in those cases we have to rely on login credentials (username and password) to retrieve your data.

In both cases, our goal remains the same: to securely collect your statistics so you can view all your data in one place and gain valuable insights.

How We Store and Protect Your Credentials

  • Your username and password are encrypted and stored securely within your StatsDrone account.

  • StatsDrone employees cannot view your credentials. They are fully hidden and inaccessible to our team.

  • Only you, the account owner, can view and manage your credentials inside the StatsDrone application.

The only exception is if/when you voluntarily share your credentials with our support team for troubleshooting purposes. In such cases, we always recommend changing your password afterward for your own peace of mind.

What We Can and Cannot Do With Your Credentials

StatsDrone uses your credentials exclusively for automated, read-only data extraction. We collect performance data such as clicks, conversions, commissions, and earnings.

We do not have the ability to:

  • Log into your affiliate accounts.

  • Make withdrawals or payments.

  • Change any settings in your affiliate programs.

  • Perform any action other than pulling reports.

Our system is designed solely for data collection and reporting. It has no capability to execute transactions or modify your accounts.

Best Practices for Maximum Security

  • Use API connections whenever they are available.

  • Rotate API keys frequently and try not to let passwords remain unchanged.

  • When login credentials are required, use a strong, unique password dedicated to StatsDrone.

  • Make passwords secure and change them if someone on your team who previously had access leaves the company.

  • Don't use the same passwords across multiple programs.

  • Never share your StatsDrone login credentials with anyone who does not need access.

  • Regularly review and manage user permissions inside StatsDrone (we support multiple user seats with customizable permission levels).

  • Remove access for team members when it is no longer needed.

Our Commitment to You

Your trust is extremely important to us. That is why we have implemented strong technical controls to ensure that even when login credentials are required, our team has no practical access to your affiliate accounts.

If you still have any doubts or concerns about how we handle your data, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. We will be happy to provide any additional clarification you need.
